Enhancing Rehabilitation

bMotion consists in a rehabilitation system for people suffering hemiplegia. It is focused in recovering normal hand movement using BCI (Brain Computer Interface). From recordings of brain activity, the BCI takes the event of hand movement and makes an actuator to perform it.

BCI even works with people with no movement at all. It works through motor imagery (Thinking movements). Thinking in movement will activate areas of the brain, allowing the creation of synaptic spines between neurones, helping to recover the damaged movement/area.

It is well known that the more connections between the neurons we have, the better and more precise we perform the activities associated to that brain area. By stimulating neuroplasticity, bMotion plans to reduce rehabilitation duration, decreasing costs and improving patient's life quality
